Our products marketed in the U.S. include:

GIAPREZA (angiotensin II) is a vasoconstrictor to increase blood pressure in adults with septic or other distributive shock.

XACDURO (sulbactam for injection; durlobactam for injection) is a new treatment designed specifically to treat hospital-acquired bacterial pneumonia (HABP) and ventilator-associated bacterial pneumonia (VABP) caused by susceptible strains of bacteria called Acinetobacter baumannii-calcoaceticus complex in adults.

XERAVA (eravacycline) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat patients with complicated intra-abdominal infections (cIAI).

Our latest addition to the Company's expanding antibiotic portfolio is ZEVTERA (ceftobiprole), a newly approved advanced-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. ZEVTERA is the only FDA-approved cephalosporin specifically designed to treat adult patients with acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections (ABSSSI), adult patients with Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infections (bacteremia) including those with right-sided infective endocarditis, and adult and pediatric patients (3 months to less than 18 years old) with community-acquired bacterial pneumonia (CABP). We anticipate a U.S. launch in mid-2025.

Innoviva Specialty Therapeutics development pipeline includes zoliflodacin, an investigational first-in-class oral antibiotic being developed for the treatment of uncomplicated gonorrhea infection in patients.

Summary Of Position:

The Senior Manager, Business Development and Alliance Management will join a fast-paced business development team and report to the Sr. Director, Business Development. This role serves as a key point of contact between Innoviva Specialty Therapeutics and its partners and is responsible for working cross-functionally (with both internal and external stakeholders) to drive and execute key partnership objectives. Additionally, the (Sr.) Manager will support broader business development initiatives by assisting with due diligence activities, building financial models and evaluating new strategic opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Alliance Management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for our alliance partners and act as an advocate for the alliances by resolving conflicts and collaborating cross-functionally to facilitate relationships between the parties.
  • Manage all aspects of alliance governance (Joint Steering/Development/ Commercialization Committees), including scheduling, agenda and presentation preparation, development of minutes, and tracking of action items through resolution.
  • Support strategic discussions pertaining to partnership matters and partner with legal department on new collaboration agreements and amendments.
  • For risks, delays, or any other Issues that require a potential change in strategy, coordinate stakeholder meetings and help support presentation of the topic(s) and identification of solutions and mitigations.
  • Track all ongoing activities pertaining to each partnership (raised either internally or externally), identify the party(ies) responsible for action, and progress through resolution.
  • Assist in establishing new alliances and partnerships and support post-deal integration activities.
  • Oversee royalty and milestone schedules and progress for each partnership and regularly communicate royalty and milestone projections to finance and accounting.


Business Development
  • Assist out-partnering due diligence processes by addressing document requests, overseeing data room access, tracking external interactions and follow-ups.
  • Support search and evaluation activities by identifying promising opportunity areas and themes, producing competitive landscape assessments, compiling formal business case proposals, building asset valuation models, and driving broader due diligence efforts.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across Innoviva to develop presentation materials for external meetings.
  • Manage company valuation and long-range planning models for IST and current product portfolio.
  • Conduct ad-hoc business and financial analysis to support decision-making, enabling management to evaluate alternatives, make fact-based decisions, and evaluate the consequences of decisions.


Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a life sciences discipline required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in the biotech/pharma industry (e.g., alliance management, corporate/business development, strategy, etc.), healthcare focused investment banking, or management consulting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and challenging deadlines
  • Experience with managing, executing, and/or evaluating biopharma licensing arrangements
  • Experience with building financial models, including DCF, and implementing modeling outputs into strategic planning
  • Extensive knowledge of the full lifecycle of drug development through commercialization, with in-depth knowledge of each function's main objectives and contributions (CMC/drug supply, commercial, business development, clinical development, regulatory affairs, finance/accounting, medical affairs, etc.)

  • Ability to synthesize complex scientific and market data into clear, actionable insights
  • Ability to create, maintain, and amend complex spreadsheets and financial models
  • Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment under challenging deadlines
  • Collaborative in nature, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
