About The Role:
Intelliguard has an excellent opportunity for a Cybersecurity Analyst II to join our team in Columbus, OH reporting to the Director of Information Security. As a Cybersecurity Analyst II, you will be responsible for assisting in maintaining and improving our cybersecurity posture by performing key security tasks, including documentation, evidence collection, user account audits, and third-party security assessments. You'll also have opportunities to take ownership of moderately complex security projects and contribute to ongoing improvements in our security operations. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a proactive approach to security and compliance.

About The Role:
Intelliguard has an excellent opportunity for a Cybersecurity Analyst II to join our team in Columbus, OH reporting to the Director of Information Security. As a Cybersecurity Analyst II, you will be responsible for assisting in maintaining and improving our cybersecurity posture by performing key security tasks, including documentation, evidence collection, user account audits, and third-party security assessments. You'll also have opportunities to take ownership of moderately complex security projects and contribute to ongoing improvements in our security operations. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a proactive approach to security and compliance.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Security & Compliance Support
- Maintain and update cybersecurity policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Collect, organize, and manage evidence for security audits (e.g., HITRUST, HIPAA).
- Assist in identifying and remediating security gaps related to compliance frameworks.
- Lead smaller compliance-related initiatives under general supervision.
- Technical Security Operations
- Conduct periodic user account audits to ensure proper access controls and least privileged principles.
- Support identity and access management (IAM) efforts by reviewing user permissions and access logs.
- Assist in monitoring security alerts and escalating potential incidents as necessary.
- Contribute to security awareness training and phishing prevention campaigns.
- Support cloud security initiatives in environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Assist in reviewing cloud configurations for security best practices.
- Evaluate firewall, detection systems, and log data to identify patterns and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
- Third-Party Risk Management
- Respond to third-party security questionnaires from clients, vendors, and partners.
- Assist in reviewing third-party security policies, contracts, and risk assessments.
- Track vendor security requirements and follow up on compliance issues.
- Help develop methodologies for assessing vendor risk and support ongoing third-party monitoring.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We Would Love To Hear From You, If:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related technical field-or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or compliance-related roles.
- Strong technical foundation in networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security fundamentals.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, such as the ability to clearly document and explain security concepts.
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM), security controls, and data protection.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and documentation management.
- Experience working under general supervision and handling moderately complex security tasks.
- Cloud Security & Architecture (Preferred Experience)
