Job Summary:
CCCS is seeking a full-time Mathematics Teacher, Middle & High School for our campus in Walnut Creek, CA. The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality instruction and assessing student progress. This role is integral to fostering a positive and effective learning environment, contributing to the academic success and spiritual growth of students. The Mathematics Teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement comprehensive unit plans that support the school's mission, vision, and educational goals. The position involves creating a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom atmosphere, maintaining strong communication with parents, and continuously assessing and adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

- Deliver instruction and assess student learning based on high-quality unit plans designs that incorporate faith, are aligned with CCCS' yearly goals and student outcomes
- Develop and adapt curriculum consisting of engaging lesson plans
- Demonstrate clear explanation of mathematical concepts and problem solving strategies
- Lead instruction and assessment of theoretical and applied mathematical skills including Algebra, Algebra II and Geometry coursework
- Document and student learning through assignments and applied testing
- Identify student need for intervention and support with mathematical concepts
- Manage classroom learning environment and student behavior while engaging participation
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic reports or performance concerns
- Collaborate with Principal and leadership team on curriculum standards
- Maintain updated education on current practices, trends and professional development opportunities
- Typical course load is 5 periods daily, plus a study hall and a prep period
- Specific course load will be assigned in cooperation with the Principal and Vice Principal
- Maintain accurate and current records in RenWeb
- Teach AP courses which prepare students for success on AP exams
- Establish and maintain a respectful culture of learning in a well-managed classroom
- Engage and assess student learning through the delivery of daily lessons
- Reflect on personal teaching practice in order to develop and grow professionally
- Maintain accurate, timely records of instructional and non-instructional events
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and professional development
- Maintain professional relationship with colleagues and work together for improved instruction and student success
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement and support all school activities, including spirit weeks, field trips and chapels
- Build and maintain community relationships with students and families
- Participate in professional development opportunities as assigned by the Principal
- Occasional weekend and evening responsibilities

Qualifications:
- State/ACSI single subject certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics
- Teaching experience at the secondary level (6-12)
- Demonstrate a competent level of computer literacy and proficiency is needed in Google drive
- CPR Certification
- Commitment to the Christian faith aligning with CCCS statement of faith
Salary & Benefits:

- Compensation range $57,000 - $105,300/annually, commensurate with teaching experience, education & certifications
