Responsibilities
The Cybersecurity Support Specialist will provide support to the Naval Surface Warfare Command in Philadelphia, PA. Shall provide expert technical, engineering and software development, testing and software maintenance support services to NSWCPD for cybersecurity improvements to U.S. Navy platforms to include Propulsion, Electrical Plant, Machinery Control, Steering Control, Navigation, Shipboard Network Systems, and other shipboard control systems related to the development, implementation and execution of the Navy's acquisition and modernization programs.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics from an accredited university. A concentration in computer science is highly desired.
Work Experience: Required five (5) years of related experience. Ability to conduct the following, prior experience preferred.
Certification: Ability to obtain and maintain one of the following certifications: CCNA-Security, CySA+ **, Security+ CE, GICSP, GSEC, CND or SSCP.
Security Clearance: Requires U.S. Citizenship and an active government security clearance.

- Supporting the development of initial documentation for the establishment of a newly formed Cyber Pillars Integrated Product Team (IPT) to better address the Cybersecurity needs of the NSWCPD technical community.
- Developing tracking tools and metrics for efforts prioritized by the NSWCPD program, including the following:
- Excel Spreadsheets
- PowerPoint Presentations
- Visio Diagrams
- MS Teams Pages
- SharePoint Sites and Lists
- Power BI Desktop Reports
- Ability to use the confluence tool.
- Maintaining MS Teams sites in support of collaboration efforts.
- Documentation development support for the Cyber Resiliency, Incident Response, DevSecOps, Program Management, and Workforce Development pillars of the Cyber Pillars IPT.
- Development of a new web-based list for tracking progress on Cybersecurity goals established
- Supporting the creation of Competency Qualification Requirements for cybersecurity-specific NSWCPD roles using a custom web-based Workforce Development Tool in order to improve awareness of the capabilities (knowledge, skills, and abilities) required at each defined level of proficiency (Apprentice, Journeyman, and Expert).
- Coordination with various depts
