The 2025-26 faculty grid for this position is $73,263 to $112,656 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Masters will be paid at a higher range.

Your Role:

As our PYP Learning Strategies Teacher, you will make a profound difference in the lives of our PK3-Grade 5 students. You'll work closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to support students with mild to moderate learning needs, empowering them to develop the skills, strategies, and confidence to succeed. You'll help students discover their strengths, advocate for their needs, and develop key approaches to learning that set them up for success.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group learning support.
  • Collaborate with teachers to address students' diverse needs and provide Tier 1 interventions.
    Work closely with families to ensure open and supportive communication.
  • Develop, monitor, and update Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other documentation.
  • Collect and analyze data to refine strategies and track student progress.
  • Partner with outside specialists when necessary to enhance student support.
  • Model instructional strategies and provide resources to classroom and specialist teachers.

Who You Are:
  • A Canadian resident legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Education (or equivalent), with 2+ years of professional experience in a school setting.
  • Knowledge and experience in Special Education, Learning Strategies, or a closely related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
  • Passion for working in a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative environment.
  • Experience in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).
  • Familiarity with RTI, Reading Recovery/LLI, and best practices in learning strategies.
  • Previous experience as a classroom teacher in elementary education.

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
