What You Will Do:

ASE (Aftermarket Sustainment Engineering) develops innovative repair solutions to observed and predicted distress on components of all P&W Military jet engines in order to economically return the engine to service. As the Military Repairs Part Family Lead, you oversee technical aspects of repair development activities on a given set of hardware, including integration with CIPT (Component Integrated Product Team), CAIPT/LIPT (Component Aftermarket Integrated Product Team/Logistics Integrated Product Team), MCS (Military Customer Support), LPM (Logistics Program Management), and others.
  • Assure overall system integration of repair designs.
  • Coordinate source qualification activities.
  • Promote RDEs (Repair Development Engineers) proficiency development through formal and informal mentoring
  • Support the customer in the resolution of field supportability issues.
  • Contribute to the creation and enhancement of engineering standard work


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 8+ years of experience in gas turbine engine design, development, and/or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) OR an advanced degree in Engineering and minimum 5+ years of experience.
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts
  • 10% Travel


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering or technical discipline.
  • Proficiency Level 3 in a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • Experience in team leadership and formal customer communications is preferred.
  • Structural analysis experience or knowledge of the P&W Class II EC (Engineering Change) process, Teamcenter, or EKS is a plus.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, blending, plating, plasma spray, shot peening, and coating removal is desirable.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
