Description:
LTS is seeking an experienced Mid- Level Project Manager to support a program within the Department of Commerce. This position requires a strong understanding of project management principles, along with a focus on the technical and regulatory aspects of cybersecurity. The Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with the department's cybersecurity goals and objectives. This role will involve collaboration with multiple internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver solutions that strengthen the department's cybersecurity posture. This position is on-sine in Washington D.C.

Responsibilities:
- Develops detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
- Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies for cybersecurity initiatives.
- Facilitates meetings, provides clear communication, and ensures the timely completion of project milestones.
- Ensures all team members are aware of and execute their responsibilities effectively.
- Coordinates cybersecurity risk assessments and manages risk mitigation plans.
- Ensures all cybersecurity projects comply with applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provides regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, risks, and compliance status.
- Prepares and presents detailed project status reports.
- Maintains up-to-date documentation of project plans and risks.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise reports and messages to all levels of management.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities, with a strong capacity to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design effective solutions for complex challenges.
- Deep understanding of federal procurement and contracting processes, project life cycles, and government reporting requirements.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, etc.).
