About the Role
Reporting to the Manager of Facility Services, the Technical Maintenance Coordinator (Civic Facilities) is responsible for coordinating, directing, and inspecting the operations, maintenance, and repair of City buildings and related systems. This position provides direction, and technical expertise to technical maintenance and custodial staX, ensuring the safe, eXicient, and eXective management of City facilities. The incumbent will exercise independent judgment in resolving operational challenges and will collaborate with the Manager on major projects, repairs, and system upgrades. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized coordinator with strong technical expertise and supervisory experience in facility preventative maintenance. The successful candidate will hold a 4th Class Power Engineer's Certi?cate and a diploma in Building Technology, HVAC Technology, or a related ?eld from a recognized post-secondary institution. Additionally, the candidate should have three (3) to ?ve (5) years of relevant experience, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory capacity. Thorough knowledge of building maintenance principles, regulations, and best practices, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems, is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The annual salary for this position is $103,896 based on a 40-hour work week and is supplemented by a competitive total compensation plan.
