Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Facilities Manager will supervised a number of employees across several sites. The ideal candidate will cultivate a multi-faceted facility maintenance & management program with the existing team through leadership. This position requires excellent time management skills with strong project management skills to successfully delver superior customer service and successfully manage sites. It is key to find the balance to enable you to promote a seamless partnership between the Company and its Client.

- Complete on-site Facility management services including but not limited to, supervision and management of the facility maintenance, janitorial event and security employees assigned to the site, operation, repair and maintenance of all building systems with particular emphasis on MEP systems, equipment, tools, supplies, service requests, service contracts and general daily events and activities.
- Manage Client's capital improvement reserve schedule and projects. As required, develop scope and create requests for proposal to procure capital improvement pricing
- Will serve as the central POC and Quality Control Representative with the Client.
- Embrace and cultivate a multi-faceted facility maintenance and repair program at the Project in an effort to promote a seamless partnership between PMM and the Client.
- Fulfill all PMM's obligations as outlined in the contract Performance Work Statement as well as develop and mentor Contractor's on-site Project employees and Subcontractors.
- Oversee and administer contract Performance Work Statement and specifications.
- Conduct inspections on a regular basis to determine the need and extent of the service required as well as the quality of services performed by staff and subcontractors.
- Procure and manage outsourced construction projects, service contracts and supplies through competitive bidding process in coordination with and with the final approval of the Director of Facilities Management and/or client.
- Responsible for onsite implementation of PMM Quality Control Plan
- Oversee reporting and billing processes in coordination with corporate office.
Who will get this job?
- 10+ years engineering experience with significant supervisory responsibility in a commercial property setting experience in the operation, installation and maintenance of building systems with in depth technical understanding and knowledge of all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems.
- Professional certifications like Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or facility management professional (FMP); IFMA credentials desired but not required. DC Stationary Engineer's License, Journeyman Mechanical License or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with bidding contract services, repairs, and capital improvements to include creating requests for proposal, contract negotiation and project management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communications.
- Ability to read and understand plans, blueprints, and other related system document.
- Availability for on-call duties and emergency response.
- Related contracts experience working in education environment (preferred)
- Highly proficient computer skills including Property Management Accounting software, Word, Excel, and Ado
