The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Optics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in optical metrology methods and instrumentation, including camera and imaging systems, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- Experience in a laboratory setting working with optical testing equipment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's Degree or PhD in Optics, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.

Responsibilities
- Perform characterization tests and contribute to the development of new test metrics, as well as new test stations (where applicable) for near-eye display prototype subsystems and system (Device level) assemblies.
- Evaluate subsystem assembly and Device level performance via image quality, radiometric and colorimetric quantities, and compare vs established metrics.
- Assist in automation of image capture and processing, including development of new strategies and processing algorithms where applicable.
- Analyze and troubleshoot new optical metrology tools, running repeatability tests, and reporting summarized results using appropriate data science/statistical analyses.
- Perform validation tests' correlation study with vendors and drive vendors to meet validation testing specs.
