ATI has a current need for a full-time Office Engineer in Anniston, Alabama providing office engineering support on both new construction and renovation projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Performing technical review of project plans and specifications;
Coordinating with customers, contractors, designers, and quality assurance to determine any necessary changes to the contracts and making recommendations to the Government for resolution;
Preparing contract change orders and cost estimates or independently evaluating those prepared by others;
Serving as point of contact for change orders, responsible for evaluating its design feasibility and cost effectiveness; and
Conducting any necessary coordination with project personnel and negotiating differences in scope, direction of change, and costs of labor, materials, equipment, overhead, etc. at issue with the contractor.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must have more than 5 years of relevant experience on large, complex multimillion dollar construction projects, preferably in support of the DoD;
Demonstrated experience in performing technical review of project plans and specifications and preparing contract change orders and cost estimates or independently evaluating those prepared by others;
Degree in engineering or architecture is a plus;
Experience with USACE's Resident Management System (RMS) is also a plus;
Knowledge and experience with relevant software including Microsoft Word and Excel;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of professionalism; and
US citizenship and the ability to pass a background check in a timely manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $95,000 - $135,000/year depending on degree and experience
Location: Anniston, AL
Working Hours: Normal Work Hours - Monday - Friday (anticipate 40 per week).
