Position Description:

As a Procurement Specialist, your pivotal role will revolve around overseeing the procurement of goods and services for Ceribell, Inc. Your responsibilities encompass the identification of sources, negotiation of favorable terms, and the acquisition of products and services that align with our organization's needs. This entails a dual commitment to obtaining value for our investments and upholding rigorous quality standards. Your duties will encompass close collaboration with suppliers, meticulous inventory management, vigilant analysis of market dynamics, and a significant contribution to the overarching success of our business.

Responsibilities:
  • This role reports to Global Supply Chain Management and provide the necessary support to address the organizational procurement needs.
  • Ability to conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, products, and services that align with the organization's needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers, ensuring effective communication and negotiation for favorable terms and conditions.
  • Analyze and evaluate supplier proposals, taking into consideration price, quality, delivery times, and other relevant factors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance, to ensure efficient supply chain management and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate demand, making purchase decisions to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance optimization.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers, such as late deliveries, quality concerns, or contractual non-compliance, ensuring a satisfactory resolution that aligns with the organization's goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information, utilizing procurement software and systems.
  • Implement and maintain supplier performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to drive continuous improvement in supplier relationships and performance.
  • Adhere to ethical and sustainable procurement practices, considering factors such as fair trade, environmental impact, and social responsibility.
  • Maintain Supplier Profile and other related supplier documents for the department.
  • Provides internal support and procurement services to the organization.


  • Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in purchasing/commodity management
  • 3+ years working with purchasing/commodity mgt
  • Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably in the industry relevant to the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience negotiating terms and purchasing agreements
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
  • Familiarity with relevant legal requirements and regulations related to procurement processes
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally or as required.

  • Capable in using procurement software and systems. NetSuite experience a plus but not required.


A candidate's final salary offer will be based on their skills, education, work location and experience, and thus it may differ from the posted range. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with Ceribell's corporate compensation plan. Compensation Range

$85,000-$95,000 USD
