Quality Analyst Keyfactor

Stratacent is looking for an experienced Tester/QA with hands-on expertise in Keyfactor (a platform for digital certificate management) and Python. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing tests to validate the functionality, security, and performance of applications interacting with Keyfactor APIs and services. You will use Python for automation and contribute to ensuring that our systems are secure, scalable, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python to test the functionality of applications and APIs integrated with Keyfactor.
• Build and enhance testing frameworks to validate digital certificate management, key lifecycle processes, and security features.
• Automate end-to-end testing for certificate issuance, renewal, revocation, and lifecycle management workflows.

• Work with Keyfactor solutions to test APIs related to certificate authorities, key management, and cryptographic operations.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for systems interacting with Keyfactor APIs and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) services.
• Test the integration and interactions between internal systems and third-party services via Keyfactor's platform to ensure proper handling of certificates and keys.

• Perform security testing on systems that use digital certificates and cryptographic keys to ensure that proper encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms are in place.
• Validate that the Keyfactor platform is correctly configured to comply with security standards and industry regulations (e.g., FIPS, PCI-DSS).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments related to key management systems and identify potential security risks.

• Report, track, and manage bugs and issues found during testing, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and results reports, following best practices and internal standards.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as a Software Tester or QA Engineer with a strong background in Python for test automation.
• Hands-on experience working with Keyfactor solutions for certificate lifecycle management and key management systems.
• Proficient in developing and executing automated test scripts using Python, with experience in popular test frameworks like pytest, unittest, or Robot Framework.
• Experience with API testing (RESTful APIs) and tools like Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), digital certificates, and cryptographic operations.
• Understanding of security principles, including encryption, hashing, and certificate-based authentication.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testing into DevOps practices.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and familiarity with collaborative tools like Jira or Confluence.
