Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. They're industrious, communicates well, extremely thorough and organized, and has the drive to deliver cross-functional and globally executed projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a segment/portfolio of projects, including overseeing the operations of getting those projects through the delivery cycle (initiation to completion)
- Facilitate regular meetings with segment-level resources to assign and prioritize projects, and align on the roadmap.
- Act as a liaison between upper management and project staff, and be accountable for visibility and communication.
- Manage a team of project managers by having regular 1:1s, reviewing their work and providing feedback for improvements, mitigating performance issues, and advocating for their needs and growth.
- Drive results and mitigate delays and risks through proactive portfolio and project management.
- Facilitate the planning, monitoring, testing, and delivery of project efforts between all necessary teams and functions.
- Partner with functional and regional teams across the segment to identify priorities, implement assigned projects, and communicate the roadmap.
- Demonstrate passion to continuously improve our processes and projects by being organized, innovative, a reliable and collaborative team player, and a delightful human being.
Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of project management methodologies and the product development lifecycle.
- Ability to understand business processes and business implications of decisions; demonstrates knowledge of market and competition.
- Excels in fast-paced environments with frequently changing priorities by being agile and exhibiting reliable planning, organization, and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; can work well and communicate with a diverse range of individuals.
- Industrious and able to develop "out of the box" solutions to solve problems.
- Persistent and results focused; must be able to deliver results in an environment which requires a high tolerance for ambiguity.
- Extensive multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
- Willingness to learn and be a part of the Ria family.
Experience
- 7-11 years, experience coaching multiple teams at the same time.
- Work(ed) in the financial industry or with digital platforms (mobile, web).
- Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Results-oriented track record for monitoring and coordinating projects.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence)
