Job Summary: Heritage Classical Academy is seeking a qualified Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for leading all aspects of financial management, asset management, and strategic financial planning to ensure wise and skillful stewardship of HCA's resources and assets. This position reports to the Head of School, providing support on all strategic and operational financial matters. Applicants should possess high integrity with appropriate experience in the areas of financial management, analysis, accounting, and administration. Applicants should also expect to play a significant role in overseeing financial aspects of HCA's capital campaign initiatives.

Job Requirements:
Strong Christian testimony and member in good standing of local church
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA preferred, but not required
Experience in financial management and accounting
Passion and commitment for the classical model
Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial functions of HCA
Maintain proper financial controls, processes, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets of HCA
Prepare financial reports and projections for decision-making purposes of the administration, Finance Committee, and the Board of Directors
Lead the annual budget process and strategic planning process in conjunction with the Head of School and Board of Directors
Work with outside auditors to ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of financial statements
Ensure proper audit trails and record-keeping practices throughout all financial functions of HCA
Oversee timely compliance with federal and state filing requirements
Direct and supervise members of HCA's finance team
Partner with admissions and development teams to develop tuition models, financial aid strategies, and funding goals.
Develop multi-year financial models to support strategic initiatives and capital planning.
Ensure proper oversight of tuition billing, collections, and scholarship allocations.
Support fundraising and capital campaign efforts through financial analysis and donor reporting.
Oversee payroll, and collaborate with COO and Head of School regarding benefits and human resources compliance.
Assist Head of School and Board of Directors with financial aspects of capital campaign initiatives
