Get to know the business

Our Chief Investment Officer (CIO) team is responsible for the overall asset allocation and portfolio management of assets supporting Corebridge's policyholder liabilities across various lines of business. In addition to managing the overall portfolio, the CIO team works with the core Life and Retirement business teams to develop the investment strategy to support their new business growth objectives. The CIO team is also responsible for articulating the overall investment strategy and risk positioning to key stakeholders such as BoD, regulators, and rating agencies.

About the role

The Corebridge CIO team is seeking a Senior Analyst to work as an integral member of the team to help support the alignment of assets with liabilities for the different Insurance lines of business with investment analysis, portfolio management, and data reconciliation. The Sr. Analyst will assist management with development of the Investment Plan by legal entity and line of business, support asset projections as part of asset allocation planning process, and record assets purchases and metrics across asset managers. The candidate will provide analytical support to various functions performed by the CIO team, including but not limited to:
  • Assist in preparing components of the quarterly investment plan including asset allocations by line of business, adhering to guidelines and compliance, and report generation
  • Coordinate with asset managers to produce asset projections
  • Record and support the analysis of the asset tagging and transition to the new Aladdin operating model
  • Create and maintain reporting used by the CIO team and key stakeholders
  • Partner with teams across finance and investment operations to support data collection and validation
  • Support investment plan actual-to-budget analysis and help identify discrepancies or allocation gaps
  • Respond to ad hoc analysis requests and assist in process improvement efforts


This role requires someone who is comfortable with manipulating large data sets and being able to reconcile various sources of information. Being able to handle multiple assignments are under time pressure is expected. The successful candidate will work across asset management, operations, finance, treasury, actuarial, and accounting teams on a continual basis to leverage and rationalize investment information.

What we're looking for
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to understand and write complex formulas and functions
  • Knowledge of MicroStrategy, Aladdin, PowerPoint, and Power Pivot/BI a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in fields of business, finance, or economics, or extensive related business experience.
  • 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Self-starter, with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced multi-company, multi-system, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge and understanding of insurance company assets and liabilities.
