General Functions:
The Senior System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and securing networked computer systems. The role requires expertise in system administration, cybersecurity, and industrial control systems (ICS) to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with DoD regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or six years of additional experience in lieu of degree).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with complex software systems, including system analysis, architecture, and support.
- Hands-on experience
- Servers (e.g. Stratus, Dell, SuperMicro)
- Network Design
- Virtualization (e.g. Hyper-V, VM Ware)
- Backup Software (e.g. Veeam)
- Cyber Security (e.g. STIGs)
- Patch Management
- Active Directory
- Domain Controllers
- Domain Name System (DNS)
- Group Policy Objects
- Experience in system administration (Windows/Linux) and cybersecurity best practices.
- Ability to travel on short-term assignments with short notice.
- U.S. passport for potential OCONUS travel (~ 5%)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in database management and query development (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Familiarity with full-stack software development (e.g. Angular, JavaScript, JSON, RESTful APIs)
- Experience with programming languages (e.g. PowerShell, C#, Java, Python, and C++)
- Experience with integrated development environments (e.g. Visual Studio, Model/View/Controller (MVC) applications, and Jupyter Notebook)
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity regulations and compliance
- Hands-on experience with AVEVA (Wonderware), Stratus, and Schneider EcoStruxure
- Experience with ICS/SCADA systems for Automated Fuel Systems, including:
- Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE)
- Automated Tank Gauging (ATG)
- Independent Alarm System (IAS)
- Overfill Protection Equipment (OPE)
- Hydrant Fueling Automation Maintenance (HFAM)
- Hydrant Automation Monitoring System (HAMS)
- Electronic Leak Detection (ELD)
- Automated Fuel Service Station (AFSS) equipment
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain a scaled-down laboratory version of a Bulk Fuel Storage SCADA system.
- Configure, install, and maintain server and domain security requirements.
- Develop, modify, and enhance complex software systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial controls equipment.
- Monitor and maintain system security, data integrity, and access control.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability issues.
- Manage system configuration, updates, and integration of software fixes, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Develop and document policies, procedures, and plans to support Authorization to Operate (ATO), including baseline documentation, software/hardware lifecycle management, and system test procedures.
- Provide cybersecurity advisory support for AFHE and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity regulations.
- Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Provide guidance to technical staff and participate in project teams.
- Support network functionality and assist Network Technicians in resolving complex networking issues.
Security Clearance Requirements: Ability to pass DOD background check
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Occasionally moves about the office to access files, equipment, and IT infrastructure
- Frequently operates computers and office productivity machinery
- May be required to move audio/visual or computer equipment
