Summary:
Andaz Maui at Wailea is the first resort for the Andaz brand. Situated on Maui's premier southwestern coastline, the 15-acre beachfront resort is located along Mokapu Beach in Wailea, one of the most sought after leisure and resort destinations in the world. The luxury resort community of Wailea includes a 1.2 mile-long oceanfront beach path connecting five crescent-shaped, golden-sand beaches, a premier shopping center and distinguished restaurants.
The Facilities Manager will assist the Director of Resort Facilities in efficiently running the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies andbrand standards, whilst meetingemployee, guest and owner expectations and overall maintenance and repairs in the resort.
The Facilities Manager will also assist in ensuring the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000. Decisions regarding individual salaries commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have a degree or diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management. Knowledge in preventive maintenance program and special projects will be valuable. Knowledgeable in HVAC, technical knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems, fire main systems, plumbing, sprinklers, water/waste treatment or hydraulics will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs for guestrooms, public areas, and safety systems
- Ensure prompt response and action to fulfill maintenance requests of both guests and colleagues
- Oversee all building mechanical systems to include building automation, energy and water management
- Thoroughly understand and monitor the resorts fire alarm system, emergency evacuation procedures and disaster recovery
- Management of all Hyatt mandated programs (ie. Lock out Tag out, Legionella, Moisture Control, etc.)
- Assist with managing the execution of capital projects
- Manage parts and supplies inventory
- Focus on improving efficiency, profitability and service levels guiding colleagues to support and practice Hyatt's culture of Care
- Recruit and develop Engineering colleagues while balancing operational needs of the department
- Liaison between engineering department and other departments
- Coordinate, implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs for guestrooms, public areas, back of house equipment and Life safety systems
- Ability to train new hire engineers
- Monitor all the supplies inventory and parts ordering if necessary
- Ability to multi-task and project management tasks
