Housing Works fights for funding and legislation to ensure that all people living with HIV/AIDS have access to quality housing, healthcare, HIV prevention, and treatment, among other lifesaving services.
Benefits:
We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Compensation Range: $105,000 - $110,000 yearly commensurate with experience.
Overview:
The Director provides oversight to programs specialized in Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment Services for multiple underserved populations, including persons with mental health diagnoses and substance use who suffer from ongoing mood and/or perceptual disorders;LGBTQ individuals; the unstably housed; persons with chronic health concerns; and persons involved in the criminal justice system. Housing Works' Brooklyn Clinics provide care through varied regulatory programs (including OMH, A28, IOS, and OASAS) where the providers use a trauma-informed, harm reduction approach as its foundation for the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The Director is the lead Supervisor at the sites, guiding daily program operations, oversees the supervision of program clinical staff, and reports to the AVP of Psychotherapy Services, who provides programmatic designs, monitoring and support.The position will work with staff to ensure compliance with programmatic regulatory requirements and work with Interdisciplinary and leadership teams to support, monitor and create program design to support program success, quality and sustainability. Treatment at the locations includes individualsessions, intakes,andsomegroup counseling based on client needs and preferences. Screening and clinical interviews will guide treatmentplanning;which may include medication and/or referrals to other services. Housing Worksis seeking a Directorwho would be able to utilize theirstrong administrative and clinical background /experience to work in a collaborative, outcome focused setting. With the support of the AVP of Psychotherapy Services and an interdisciplinary team of professionals, the Directorwill help achieve improved health outcomes for our client population. Responsibilities:
Primary:
- Supervise and monitor the therapeutic environment to ensure that a positive and trauma informed environment is maintained, regulatory guidelines are followed, and that the therapeutic milieu and interpersonal relationships remain positive
- Oversees the daily operations of programs to ensure appropriate clinical coverage with coordination with Health Center leadership
- Completion of programmatic reports and complies with requested contracting reporting and surveys as denoted by the regulatory agencies, in coordination with the interdepartmental supports, as needed
- Provides weekly clinical supervision to staff across programs
- Reviews and modifies initial andepisodic psychosocial,initial assessments, treatment plans, discharge plans, progress notes and conducts monthly chart reviews.
- Remains aware ofand monitors updates of regulation thatensure comprehensive client care in order to meet the regulatory agencies' guidelines.
- Regular program and chart review to identify and address any compliance concerns with support from AVP and Compliance department
- Network and communicate with internal and external partners to build strong relationships and referral streams.
- Participates in the peer review and QA/QI committee within department and Health Services and thereby ensures, by regular monitoring, that client chart documentationarein accordance with all state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
- Updates and develops, in collaboration with AVP, tracking mechanisms to monitor clients'admissions,discharges andcompletion of treatment planning on caseloads and high-risk list
- Ensures the integrity of the programs by maintaining confidentiality, ethics, and professional conduct throughout the program.
- Primary facilitator of all programmatic meetings and training that support staff growth, quality of clinical care and knowledge around program regulatory requirements.
- Provides clinical coverage of care through the facilitation of therapeuticgroups and individual counseling toclients across programs during times when additional clinical support is required due to staffing or program sustainability.
- Supports and participates in advocacy efforts to end the twin crises of homelessness andHIV/AIDS
- Participatesin agency wide continuous quality improvement activities aimed at improving health outcomes for program participants
- Assist with the integration of evidence-based practice within the OP setting.
- Actively works in collaboration with Behavioral Health Senior leadership to assist with strategic planning.
- Provides on call coverage on a rotating basis

Minimum Requirements
- LCSW Dually licensed CASAC preferred
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
- 3+ years of Clinical Supervisory experience
- 3+ years of Administrative Supervisory experience
