Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Support TMW Training to drive and support the companies' Lean objectives.
  • Participate in The Manitowoc Way, assessment gap closure plan, meet annual facility audit goals
  • Maintain state-of-the-art expertise in Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to develop and execute detailed time, budget, and resource plans, including project updates, tracking, and communication of KPI's.
  • Cost Reduction / Process Improvement / Quality Improvements.
  • Process layout evaluation / continuous improvement.
  • Lead Kaizen lean initiatives utilizing/managing cross functional teams & developing new process documentation as needed.
  • Supervise work of assigned resources.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Large equipment exposure in the manufacturing environment
  • Must have experience with: CAD, TEAMS, basic Microsoft Office tools including Project, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Experience with time studies and time standard implementation, project cost analysis, and lean tools highly desired
  • Project Management experience required
  • Must be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization
  • Must be organized, be able to work independently, have a strong work ethic, and a proven record of project execution
  • Working Conditions: Minimum of 50% of time spent on the shop floor
  • High Travel

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of five years' experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering experience required. Will consider other technical degrees with same experience.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Lean Training

Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Walking
  • Lifting 50lbs

Health and Safety:
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
  • Perform job functions in a safe manner.
  • Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by Company Policy for the job being performed both in the facility and during customer visits.
  • Know and follow established job specific and facility wide safety and health procedures and rules.
  • Actively participate in safety and health training and demonstrate competency based on training received.
  • Bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management's attention or correct those you can.


Work Environment:
  • Normal office environment with occasional periods in field.

Travel Required: (Percentage 0-100) Domestic 90%

  • Minimum: $95,628.54
  • Midpoint: $119,535.67
  • Maximum: $143,442.80
