Role Description

Magnus Medical's Case Analyst, reporting to the Director of Operations, is responsible for reviewing and releasing personalized brain targets for neurostimulation treatments using the Magnus cloud application. These stimulation targets show the location in the brain that neurostimulation can be used to treat specific neuropsychiatric disorders. Creation of these targets is done through the use of Magnus software and processes.

In this role, you will work within an operations team to process targeting cases on a recurring basis. You will work with other case analysts, senior case analyst manager(s), and an operations lead. A variety of backgrounds, including but not limited to: neuroimaging, neuroscience, radiology, medical technicians, biological sciences, 3D animation, and/or CAD/visual inspection may qualify for this position. Due to the unique skills needed, employees will be trained on the specific software tools, MRI image visualization processes, and technology used/developed by Magnus.

The work we do supports people who suffer from neuropsychiatric diseases and are participating in clinical trials or are being treated in hospitals and clinics. This position requires flexibility of work hours and a willingness to work non-traditional hours, including weekends. Case Analysts will have designated time slots where they will be on call for case reviews. A case analyst is expected to review any case submitted in their designated time slot.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Interpret MRI imaging data, per regulated process, to generate personalized neurostimulation targets that are sent to the customer for use as neurostimulation targets.
  • Perform in-process visual inspections and verifications on image data quality and target quality while maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency
  • Under minimal supervision, perform visual inspection, determining conformance to applicable work instructions and adhering to quality standards
  • Provide testing and feedback for new product versions and process updates

  • Competency in operation and understanding of Magnus' MRI targeting software.
  • Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment where all activities must be performed in compliance with outlined procedures, and all work is to be documented appropriately.
  • Comfortable providing consultations to team members on MRI image interpretation (per process) and providing feedback as needed.
  • Supportive teammate with a willingness to contribute to operations projects to improve future processes.
  • Open to receiving and providing constructive feedback on a daily basis, while using the feedback to improve.
  • Availability to work non-traditional hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Educational Requirements and Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (examples: Neuroscience, 3D Modeling, Physiology, Radiology, Biomedical Engineering or similar)
  • Previous experience working in a regulated industry, a plus
  • Medical device manufacturing experience preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred

Physical Demands of the Job
  • Work environment with prolonged hours of computer use
  • Good visual acuity, including contrast sensitivity and full color perception
  • On the job training

Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000

The annual base salary range for this position based in the United States is listed above. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on Magnus' compensation practices, job related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, in addition to geographic location. Based on the factors above, Magnus utilizes the full width of the range.
