Natcast (short for The National Center for the Advancement of Semiconductor Technology) is a new, purpose-built, non-profit entity created to operate the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) consortium, established by the CHIPS Act of the U.S. government.

In this role you will advance semiconductor innovation by providing expert RTL design support and debug solutions that enable breakthrough chip developments across Natcast's ecosystem.
Every day you will solve complex logic design challenges, collaborate with users on system-level architectures, and optimize verification frameworks while supporting America's semiconductor capabilities. Add in functional verification / simulation / emulation etc.
To thrive in this role you must combine deep RTL expertise with strong system-level understanding, demonstrating mastery of hardware description languages while delivering exceptional technical solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Provide expert RTL design support
- Debug complex verification failures
- Create simulation and emulation models
- Consult on, design, and implement UVM test frameworks, transactors, and BFMS
- Optimize power-aware designs
- Support verification environments
- Drive design methodology improvements
- Manage technical issue resolution
Required Skills and Experience:
- Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
- 7+ years RTL design experience
- Expert knowledge of SystemVerilog
- Strong background in VHDL
- Experience with UPF implementation
- Expertise in UVM frameworks
- System-level architecture experience
- Excellence in debug methodologies
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Technical documentation skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Semiconductor industry experience
- Prototyping (simulation/emulation/FPGA) environment development background
- Power optimization expertise
- Hardware emulation experience
- Technical mentoring capabilities
