The Director II Sales is responsible for directing sales and/or account management retention activities for large complex accounts with medical and specialty products.

- Develops sales, marketing and compensation plans.
- Develops and motivates staff to achieve common goals.
- Develops and implements strategies to create a superior customer value proposition and positions Anthem MO as an industry leader.
- Assesses staff and collaborates on key decisions to hire and retain the best talent.
- Leads a successful and transformative shift where needed to drive a growth mindset and culture.
- Ensure profitable growth and support overall strategic direction for New York, one of Anthem's largest and most visible markets.
- Promotes company culture through building and leading a successful team that is committed to execution, collaboration, and a positive environment.
- Develops strategies and executes sales plans to achieve membership growth and financial goals through direct and indirect oversight and management of the sales team.
- Connect with the external market to maintain competitive differentiation and advantage; consistently monitor market dynamics and understand customer intelligence.
- Develop and cultivate strong relationships with all stakeholders including clients,
brokers, industry groups, regulatory and senior management. - Collaborate across the enterprise to drive innovation and improve cost of care and quality of care/outcomes for members, customers, and other key stakeholders.
