Description:
We have an exciting opportunity to join the SIU team as a Senior Field Security
Investigator! As a SIU Field Investigator, you will conduct investigations of suspected cases of fraud or other illegal activities against the Company, including interviewing, database inquiries, taking statements, and locating sources of information and witnesses. Responsibilities include evaluating information to determine its credibility, referring, and coordinating investigation assignments to outside agencies, and providing training and support to all departments in the claims handling process.

Base Salary Range $36.63 - $57.49 USD Hourly
Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
3+ Years claims adjusting experience, or P&C SIU/Fraud Investigation
experience or 4 years prior investigative law enforcement (including military)
or relevant fraud industry investigation experience
Experience handling in-person or phone statements from various parties in an
investigation in a way that builds GEICO's customer base and promotes
customer satisfaction through efficient, accurate, and courteous interactions
Ability to gather a broad range of evidence related to an investigation and
draw conclusions based on the information collected to the applicable fraud
investigation
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize heavy claim volume workloads
and stressful situations
Must be able to always maintain a professional attitude and appearance
Must be able to document files in a clear, concise, professional written
manner, to be understood by customers, clients, co-workers and other
employees of the organization
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license, certifications and
permits in accordance with state and federal regulations, and company and
departmental standards
Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment and lift them to and
from vehicles and carry them up and down steps
Must be able to climb on, off, in, around and under vehicles, including but not
limited to RVs and commercial vehicles
Must be able to exercise caution and awareness of surroundings while
performing the essential duties of the position
Must be able to learn and apply large amount of technical and procedural
information
Knowledge of city, state, and local regulations, legal concepts, case law,
medical treatments, and medical terminology
Desired Qualifications
4-year Degree or higher
Current or prior SIU investigations experience working in diverse teams
across different SIU job functions
Experience handling: financial, casualty, bodily injury, worker's
compensation, commercial, marine, auto, property and underwriting fraud
investigations
Ability to handle complex fraud cases and/or rings
Knowledge on how to use public record systems, and/or claims and policy
databases to support an investigation
Ability to work with minimal direct supervision and manage an active case
load
Related professional designations (e.g. CIFI, CFE, FCLA, CPCU, etc.)
Working Conditions
Must utilize personal protective equipment as necessary
Must be willing to work in indoor and outdoor environments, inclement
weather, in dim or bright light and subject to adverse weather conditions and
noise
The duties of this position are generally performed in the field, in an auto
repair environment or at a business location under minimum supervision
Equipment and Vehicles (When Assigned)
Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record according to company
policy and a valid state driver's license
Must be able to drive the assigned vehicle for extended periods of time as
needed
Must be able to utilize laptops, Microsoft Office, web-based applications,
cameras, hands-free cellular devices, and calculators
Must be able to perform duties in an automobile used as a mobile workstation
Annual Salary
$36.63 - $57.49
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
