Job Description:

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and highly motivated individual to lead and evolve Ipsen's Data and Digital Enablement function in North America. This role will be part of the Data and Omnichannel Strategy team, and is responsible for shaping business and data architecture strategy along with ensuring ongoing digital and data support for the organization.

The Associate Director will be responsible for leading commercial systems (One Analytics, Health cloud, Marketing cloud, One Trust, etc) along with the design and integration of business architecture. The position requires not only technical expertise in data and business architecture, but also the ability to effectively partner and communicate across Ipsen to drive business solutions for the organization.

This role is based at our Cambridge, MA office is not remote eligible.

What - Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies
  • Maintenance and ongoing evaluation of NA commercial Systems / Tech Stack (one Analytics, Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Once trust, etc.)
  • Responsible for NA business /technology architecture, solutions and design strategy
  • Responsible for future innovation in data and digital capability enablement
  • Ensure appropriate Data enablement vendor management (tableau, informatica, etc.), inclusive of implementing dashboard and KPIs
  • Develop roadmap for MDM roadmap, identifying NA business needs and synergies with global/corporate capabilities and resources
  • Liaise with Corporate IT to ensure that corporate resources are successfully deployed to meet North America business requirements
  • Be the single point of contact for all commercial IT issues and functions (internally and externally)
  • Execute roadmap for Ipsen Patient Hub flow in partnership with Value & Access/Patient Services team
  • Lead coordination program updates and progress reports for leadership, highlighting key milestones, risks, and outcomes.
  • Ensure ongoing partnership with the data strategy & analytics team to anticipate data enablement needs
  • Provide continuous updates to Business Units and NA leadership on evolution on KPIs, omnichannel & data strategy evolution


How - Education, Knowledge & Experience
  • BA/BS in in a technical or analytical field such as statistics, engineering, computer science, economics, finance, math, etc.
  • Masters degree in business administration or related field is preferred
  • At least 8+ years of Pharma/Biotech experience in managing data management, business architecture
  • Prior experience and knowledge in setting up and evolving pharma commercial business/data architecture
  • Understanding of data architecture and data assets used in Pharma/Biotech (eg. Claims, SP/SD, syndicated data sets, field data, digital activity, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical or biotechnology value chain
  • Must have experience in work flow/information processing
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and data quality business processes, solutions, methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and effectively anticipate customer needs
  • Strong business and financial acumen with understanding of business KPIs; knowledgeable in current and future data industry trends
  • Ability to synthetize, communicate and present complex information clearly and with confidence to peers and senior leaders
  • Excellent communicator, able to persuasively convey both ideas and data, verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills and time management; ability to manage a range of simultaneous projects and priorities


The annual base salary range for this position is $172,000 - $210,000

The pay range displayed above is the range of base pay compensation within which Ipsen expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and demonstrated skills.
