This position is the Finance Business Insights Lead for Large Excavation (LHEX) product group. The LHEX product group is part of Caterpillar's Excavation Division, which is in the Construction Industries Segment.

The LHEX Finance Business Insights Lead is a unique opportunity to be a trusted advisor to the LHEX Vice President and Business Development Manager, providing financial insights and partnership with the business to drive profitable growth. What You Will Do:
- Support LHEX monthly business reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
- Drive partnership with LHEX leadership team to analyze Accountable Reporting Tool & Operating Profit Analysis Tool and Share of Market Opportunity reviews.
- Provide business analysis support by establishing investment analysis, sourcing analysis, and initiatives to drive profitable growth.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to determine and track Research & Engineering spend.
- Collaborate across the Excavation Division and the broader Caterpillar enterprise to ensure an enterprise focus in maintained.
- Champion the finance transformation and continuous process improvement within the Excavation Division and the Construction Industries Segment.
- Support development of new data analysis tools in conjunction with Excavation Data Analytics team.
What You Have (Desired Skills):
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree within Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Experience with accountable reporting and forecasting
- Understanding of investment analysis and capital investments
- Demonstrated ability to take drive efficiencies in recurring processes
- Ability to learn and communicate complex financial analyses
- Proficiency with Data Analytics & Visualization Experience
Additional Information:
- This position will be located in Peoria, IL.
- This position is currently a hybrid in-office work model, requiring 3-day weekly office presence and remote work for the remaining days. However, work arrangements may be adjusted at any time based on business needs.
- Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify.
- Sponsorship is not available.
- Domestic and/or international travel up to 5%.
