This job requisition if for promotion of the FIN Scheduler to Head Scheduler. The FIN scheduler performs duties as a scheduler and partly as a work coordinator for FIN, monitoring various station backlog reports and prioritizes work into the FIN schedule in the proper work weeks and work windows. The FIN scheduler has also absorbed the duties of the vacated DZ Scheduler position.

SUMMARY

Monitors station backlog reports and develops the online FIN work schedule. Ensures work is prioritized into the FIN schedule according to plant reliability impact, critical backlog indicators, and train weeks/work windows. Interfaces with site organizations and contractors to identify activities to be performed, the logic in which they are to be accomplished, establishment of durations/resources for activity performance, schedule reports and historical lessons learned documentation. Develops schedule frags for complex emergent work activities to ensure proper tracking of work progression through completion. Develops, updates, and maintains plant baseline contractor support schedules. Assists in monitoring and analyzing schedule performance and reports significant variances to supervision.

EDUCATION
High School Diploma/GED (required)
Associates degree in a related electrical field (science, mathematics, technology, or equivalent). (Preferred)
Without the above degree, relevant experience may be considered.

EXPERIENCE
5 years journey-level experience in plant operations, maintenance, chemical operations or health physics, or 2 years scheduling or project management experience. (Required)
2 years' experience with nuclear power plant PM Program maintenance and Oracle Primavera - P6 (Required)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
There is no Licensure or Certification required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, updates, and maintains FIN and baseline contractor plant schedules, including analyzing schedule performance, critical path analysis, logical loop tie resolution, schedule logic troubleshooting and report significant variances to supervision.
Leads in developing, updating, and maintaining FIN online schedules including development of frags tracking complex emergent plant work activities.
Monitors work activities affecting plant equipment reliability and critical station backlogs to ensure items are prioritized in the FIN schedule.
Monitors scheduled vs. actual performance of scheduled activities in support of station performance indicators. Monitors/identifies declining trends.
Responsible for developing and maintaining department performance indicators and metrics.

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to use standard scheduling techniques to prepare schedules and statistical performance reports.
Knowledge of company, station, department procedures and policies.
Ability to learn plant systems sufficient to perform the optimal work sequence scheduling of activities.
Ability to use, or learn to use, site computer management systems and software for development, issue and maintenance of schedules and reports.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Accept ERO position as needed.
Accept outage position as needed.
Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.
Successfully complete General Employee Training (GET) as required for position.

ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
Normal office environment during non-outage periods.
Required to carry the duty scheduler rotational pager.

WORK LOCATION
Due to the nature of the work, this position requires work to be performed in the field and/or at the work site.
