80% engineer / 20% manager
Job Duties:
The incumbent must be able to communicate well with our inside teams, customers, and vendor network.
This position is an extremely important position within our organization and is a very visible position. This position enables the incumbent to get to know our industry and some minimal travel may be required.
Ideal Qualifications:
Must be detail oriented and self- motivated.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Have good communication between engineers/draftsman and the machine shop.
The ability to effectively manage multiple projects is essential and see the order through from start-to-finish.
Knowledge of industrial equipment and applications.
Very occasional travel required. (Domestic & International).
Helpful Background in: *Electrical - VFD's, various electrics foreign and domestic. *Hydraulics *Gearbox - sizing, torques, capabilities *Metallurgy
A technical degree is required; At minimum a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred with a minimum of 5 years' experience. An MS degree is a plus.
Skilled in Solid Works background/ GA's/BOM's/Test Fracture & Stress Points.
Willing to work amongst a small group & check over each other's work before release.
Help aid in the design of heavy equipment in the mining environment.
Systems, final documentation, and manuals.
Always be looking for better technology & new design.
Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors.
Collaborating with the G/M and the Project managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources.
