Pay Range: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00


The F&I Manager/Assistant Sales Manager of Audi Napa Valley is responsible for overseeing both Finance & Insurance (F&I) and variable operational functions at our dealerships in Fairfield, CA. This hybrid role is responsible for managing the finance and insurance process while also supporting sales operations, ensuring a seamless customer experience, optimizing profitability, and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Insurance (F&I)
  • Oversee the entire F&I process, securing financing options and selling vehicle protection products, extended service contracts, GAP insurance, and other ancillary offerings.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions to ensure competitive financing options and high approval rates.
  • Ensure all deals are structured within lender guidelines and dealership profitability objectives while maintaining a high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index).
  • Accurately complete all finance paperwork, contracts, and loan applications while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and lender regulations, including Red Flags, OFAC, and Truth in Lending.
  • Train and coach sales staff on effective F&I product presentations to enhance penetration rates and per-unit profitability.
  • Monitor F&I performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to drive revenue growth.
  • Work closely with accounting to ensure timely funding, contract processing, and reconciliation of deals.


Sales Management
  • Assist the General Sales Manager (GSM) in leading the sales team, providing coaching, training, and motivation to drive performance and meet dealership sales goals.
  • Support the sales team in deal structuring, customer negotiations, and closing transactions to maximize gross profit and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and oversee daily sales operations, ensuring a seamless workflow from customer engagement to vehicle delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels, aged units, and stocking needs while coordinating with the inventory manager and service department to optimize vehicle readiness.
  • Work collaboratively with the BDC (Business Development Center) to drive showroom traffic, follow up on leads, and improve conversion rates.
  • Assist in maintaining a positive dealership culture by fostering teamwork, professionalism, and a customer-first approach.
  • Ensure adherence to all dealership policies, manufacturer guidelines, and legal compliance requirements, including FTC, DMV, and consumer protection laws.


Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an F&I Manager, Sales Manager, or a hybrid role within a high-volume automotive dealership.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive finance and leasing structures, lender relationships, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Proficiency in dealership management systems (DMS), CRM software, and digital retailing tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in paperwork and compliance-related processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
