The successful individual will bring knowledge and experience in leading the integration process for healthy and growing organizations. Populous is looking for an experienced integration leader to help guide our leadership team through smooth and effective integrations of targeted acquisitions. The successful individual will bring knowledge and experience in leading the integration process for healthy and growing organizations. This role has a particular focus on cultural and leadership alignment to ensure the success of each acquisition.
What Your Day Could Consist Of:
- Responsible for the creation and delivery of a disciplined integration strategy, process and execution plan.
- Provide clear assignments, develop common formats for outputs, disciplined timelines, coordinated meeting schedules, communication mechanisms and review processes.
- Engage and influence functional owners and business leadership in integration plan execution.
- Drive the integration process; this generally involves designing new organization structures, merging cultures, moving premises, integrating systems, stakeholder communication, assessing operations, and consolidating resources.
- Shepherd leadership through uncharted territory that the two organizations must navigate before they can function as one.
- Act as a consultant, facilitator, communicator, project manager, coach and bridge builder.
- Create the connective tissue between the two businesses.
- Schedule and run kick-off and status meetings, manage due diligence process, evaluate risks to integration, update stakeholders, document lessons learned, consult experts, and manage ongoing integration post-acquisition.
- Ability to verify and audit the execution of the integration plan, including development of a responsibility matrix.
Requirements For Success:
- Emotionally and culturally intelligent.
- Ability to adapt and re-calibrate plans as the situation evolves.
- Must be able to facilitate group sessions, mobilize people and agree quickly on strategies that communicate and provide direction.
- Demonstrated expertise in relationship-building, problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork.
- Exceptional organization skills, including effective time management, strategic planning, and prioritization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple small to medium-sized projects with complex scopes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Essential Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience integrating acquired companies into an established firm.
- Knowledge across all business functions and how they are impacted by an acquisition and the role they play in successful integration.
- Expert level project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with In-design a plus.
Additional details:
- 25% of travel will be required, including international travel.
