The Sr. Communications Coordinator will be responsible for providing daily support for projects related to conferences and speaking opportunities for the firm's partners. This is a new role that will be supporting the Sr. Communications Manager. While the work will be primarily focused on conferences, this role will have the opportunity to contribute to other comms-related matters such as media inquiries, surveys, and visibility planning.
This role will work closely with other colleagues in the Business Development Department to support communications and visibility initiatives for the firm's attorneys and practice groups through involvement in industry conferences and maintaining relationships with key organizers.

This role will work closely with other colleagues in the Business Development Department to support communications and visibility initiatives for the firm's attorneys and practice groups through involvement in industry conferences and maintaining relationships with key organizers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conferences and speaking engagements: work closely with Senior Communications Manager and outside organizers on compiling recommendations for partners, tracking internal approvals, and ensuring arrangements are made once conference attendance and speaking engagements are confirmed.
- Project-management: support efforts to streamline projects by maintaining and organizing systems that track information including conference timelines, deadlines, program participation, sponsorship participation, etc.
- Maintain relationships with top-tier and legal/financial industry conference organizers and external sponsorship contacts.
- External relations: coordinate with Comms Team members to schedule interviews or media meetings for attorneys while attending/speaking at conferences.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field.
- Experience working with financial or professional services firms is preferred (either in an in-house or agency setting - agency experience is a plus)
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field
- Strong organizational/project management skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to hit deadlines when needed.
- Works well in an environment with shifting priorities to meet time-sensitive deadlines, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and processes and eagerness to help the team.
- Strong communication skills (external relations, writing, editing, formatting, proofreading skills).
- Strong inter-personal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Resourceful, driven attitude with a genuine desire and energy to bring a collaborative approach to ensure team success.

Salary:
- $85,000-$95,000. Paul, Weiss offers competitive compensation and benefits packages. The firm considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, levels of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications.
- Overtime work is often required, including nights and weekends.
