As a UI/UX Developer, you will work closely with established contractors and internal staff to design and develop user interfaces for applications serving both internal client users and public constituents. This role requires hands-on experience creating responsive, accessible, and scalable interfaces that function effectively across various browsers, operating systems, and devices. You will collaborate within a cross-functional software development team to implement new features, refine existing components, and ensure all front-end elements are thoroughly tested. The ideal candidate will bring a strong eye for user-centric design, attention to performance and usability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement responsive and accessible user interfaces across browsers and platforms.
- Build scalable UI components using modern frameworks and best practices.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize performance across devices.
- Work collaboratively with product owners, designers, and developers to deliver polished solutions.
- Create and maintain detailed UI/UX documentation and style guides.
- Participate in design reviews and usability testing sessions.
- Refactor and improve existing UI components for better functionality and user experience.
- Conduct unit and functional testing to ensure reliability and performance.
- Stay current with trends in front-end development and user interface design.
- Provide support during code deployments and post-release QA efforts.
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with responsive and mobile-first design methodologies.
- Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions.
- Experience with automated UI testing tools and test-driven development.
- Ability to translate UI/UX design wireframes into functional code.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Portfolio of UI/UX project samples demonstrating design process and outcomes is required with the application.
- (Preferred) Experience working in agile teams and contributing to CI/CD pipelines.
