Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to support both residential operations and real estate development. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to grow within the real estate industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily cash activity and facilitate wire transfers
- Produce monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for residential assets
- Reconcile bank accounts and prepare month-end close entries
- Maintain accurate trial balance and balance sheet accounts
- Oversee accounts payable review and approval processes
- Track security deposit returns and related reconciliations
- Manage and post journal entries including depreciation and amortization
- Assist with preparation of financial reporting for investment partners
- Handle construction/development draw requests and monthly reporting packages
- Audit operational AP invoices as needed
- Calculate and file applicable sales and use taxes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Familiarity with industry systems such as RealPage, Timberline, or Onesite is a plus
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team
