Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems architecture.
- Provide vision and leadership for the design, planning, and implementation of critical IT systems, networks, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define IT priorities and ensure they meet business requirements and compliance regulations.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a secure, scalable, and high-performing IT infrastructure.
- Manage data centers, servers, cloud environments, networking, and storage systems.
- Ensure optimal performance, availability, and capacity planning for all IT infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce infrastructure best practices, including disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup systems.
- Lead and enhance the organization's cybersecurity strategy to protect critical systems, data, and networks from internal and external threats.
- Manage and continuously improve cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security monitoring tools.
- Monitor emerging cybersecurity trends and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and address potential security weaknesses.
- Develop and implement incident response plans, ensuring the team is prepared for any disaster recovery or cybersecurity incidents.
- Lead efforts to investigate security breaches, manage forensic analysis, and develop corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Collaborate with external agencies and vendors when necessary for advanced threat analysis and resolution.
- Mentor, guide, and develop the IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams, ensuring a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage talent to ensure the IT department is staffed with the skills necessary to meet business and security needs.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration between IT, development teams, and other departments to ensure comprehensive solutions.
- Develop and manage the IT infrastructure and cybersecurity budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers for infrastructure and cybersecurity tools and services.
- Ensure contracts and SLAs with vendors meet performance and security requirements.
- Regularly report on IT infrastructure performance, cybersecurity risks, and ongoing initiatives to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation for all infrastructure systems, security policies, and incident response plans.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, and industry standards for cybersecurity and data protection.
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, BCIS, or related technical field, with additional technical certifications
- 8-10 years of related Information Technology/Security experience in IT infrastructure management
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, cloud platforms) and cybersecurity technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Azure and M365 administration
- 5+ years of technology and project management with integration and maintenance management of third party SAAS providers
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint security, and encryption technologies.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments.
- Certifications in cybersecurity or IT infrastructure (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
Working Conditions
- Normally seated with freedom of movement on a regular basis, operating office machines and handling light materials and supplies.
- Normal exposure to office environment. Occasional exposure to warehouse and manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- May spend extended periods operating desktop computer, requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity; and communicating face-to-face, on the telephone and in writings.
- Periodic physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and stooping.
