Who we are looking for
The State Street IMS West team is looking for a qualified individual with a strong background in the management of technical business analysis, software development, project management, database analysis, workflow design and system flows in order to migrate a top client's bespoke middle-office platform into project Alpha, the industry's first ever front-to-back client servicing platform.
The role will manage a team of technical business analysts working on the multi-year transformational program enabling the migration of the current platforms and business services leveraged by the IMS West middle-office business teams along with the end client into project Alpha.
The key objectives are to define the future state application mappings related to the outsourced middle and back-office services provided by State Street Bank transforming how the business operates today increasing our operating leverage and competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Salary Range:
$130,000 - $212,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.

Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Business Analysts to support the migration of bespoke middle-office platform into project Alpha.
- Apply detailed knowledge of business requirements and workflows to assist in product development
- Research and produce business and technical requirement documents
- Analyze the middle-office workflows and produce detailed functional documents.
- Work directly with customers and business teams to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications; involvement in all aspects of the software product life cycle
- Partner with development teams to help develop, implement, and refine features
- Plan and schedule validation tasks; provide hands-on manual tests; develop verification plans and processes
- Review documentation to ensure accurate and complete documentation
- Own the management of project schedules and deliverables across functional teams.
- Actively participate in the Agile software development process by adhering to the CRD Scrum Methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Assist with work item creation and tracking in Jira.
- Participate in integration testing and setup as needed.
- Work closely with QA, review and approve QA test plans and test results.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- BS Degree in Computer Science or study of Business with an MIS background.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and investment management processes
- 10+ years of software development lifecycle experience, particularly Agile methodologies preferred
- Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
- Leadership and an ability to bring together teams across different levels and disciplines within the organization
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making
- Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical background
- Ability to translate customer business needs into application requirements
- Demonstrated planning and scheduling skills
