ADP is hiring a Senior Manager of Trust Operations.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented manager to lead our team in the effective administration of our qualified termination process under the Department of Labor's Abandoned Plan Program. Working closely with the Trust Administration team, this individual will oversee all operational activities related to plan terminations, ensure compliance with ERISA and DOL regulations, and provide strategic leadership, coaching, and development to a team of QTA professionals.
In this role, you will leverage your previous experience and leadership expertise in managing the completion of daily activities, ensuring efficient operations, and creating an overall productive and enjoyable working environment for employees.
To thrive in this role, you must be comfortable working as a consultant and business partner to other groups within ADP as well as with government regulators. You will lead the daily activities of the team to ensure that all work is completed according to scheduled deadlines. You will train and mentor team members and identify development needs across the team. Over the phone and in writing, your communication style is clear and easy for our clients to understand and take action on. Pace should not scare you. We also have a healthy dose of fun.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the QTA team responsible for identifying, processing, and terminating abandoned retirement plans.
- Oversee communications with the Department of Labor, plan participants, custodians, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal regulations, including ERISA and DOL guidance under the Abandoned Plan Program.
- Review and approve documentation such as Notices of Determination, Form 5500 filings, and asset distributions.
- Maintain internal controls and processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of plan terminations.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance management for team members.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operations teams to resolve complex plan issues.
- Track and report on key metrics, timelines, and progress of plan terminations.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices related to abandoned plans and QTA responsibilities.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements
- At least 5 years of related experience
- At least 2 years of people leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, the Abandoned Plan Program, and related Department of Labor regulations.
- Familiarity with retirement plan documentation, Form 5500 filings, and asset distribution processes.
- Understanding of trust administration and operations

Preferred:
- Demonstrated continuing education in the 401(k) field. (CEBS, QKA, ERPA)
- In-depth working knowledge in retirement service industry.
- Prefer experience with a TPA or record keeper.
- General financial services background. General ERISA knowledge.
- Demonstrates strong oral/written communication skills. Demonstrates strong listening skills
- Utilizes tools to support daily functions such as Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
- Demonstrates ability to learn other proprietary system tools and Clarify).
- Proficiency in using payroll, HR databases and recordkeeping systems
- Personnel management, strategic thinking, and decision making
- Proven relationship-building skills. Strong time-management, organization and problem solving skills.
