Nokia is searching for an electro-mechanical systems hardware engineer to work on InP-based Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) aging systems. The individual would be responsible for supporting the operation of our PIC burn-in Lab. Duties would include working with reliability engineers and vendors to develop, qualify, and release new burn-in tools for next-generation PICs, troubleshooting complex hardware/software/ mechanical system issues, and working with our Operations team to streamline test processes and procedures. The job is based in Sunnyvale in the Optical Modules Group (OMG).
The ideal candidate would exhibit a passion for troubleshooting electronics-software-mechanical-system integration problems, have a working knowledge of engineering databases, and possess outstanding oral/written communication skills.

- Write equipment-qualification reports
- Ensure that preventative-maintenance procedures are followed
- Streamline existing test procedures and processes
Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electronics-software-mechanical-system integration problems
- Aptitude to learn about new photonic devices and their key performance characteristics
- Ability to analyze data from our SQL database to identify and diagnose problems, perform statistical analysis, and present data and ideas to a diverse audience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent teamwork and oral/written communication skills
