Alameda Health System is hiring! The Emergency Medicine Business Manager is a strategic leadership position that will manage the overall operations of multiple emergency departments ensuring a vision and strategy for future growth. The Emergency Medicine Business Manager also provides expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, affordable, and efficient care. Duties are carried out through daily interaction with physicians, APP's, managers, supervisors, Alameda Health System support departments and senior administrative staff. Performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum Experience: Five years of leadership or management experience in a medical office or practice group is required. Proven track record in managing physician recruitment, handling sensitive HR matters, optimizing practice revenues, budget development, and supporting clinical services.

- Develops vision for practice and executes plans to achieve vision.
- Directs, supervises, and coaches emergency department clinical staff daily.
- Ensure regulatory and Alameda Health System policies and procedures are implemented for efficient, effective management of ambulatory care operations.
- Full Profit and Loss responsibility of the emergency physician practice, including revenue, expenses, variances, and budgeting.
- Identifies strategy for growth and executes plans to achieve growth goals.
- Managing the emergency department physician and APP operations to ensure compliance, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
- Supporting management of research grants and contracts in partnership with AHS Finance.
- Marketing the emergency departments in the local communities to enhance volumes.
- Problem solving and addressing issues raised by physicians, employees, and patients.
- Responsible for carrying out all established policies.
