The Senior IT Project Manager will perform project management for medium to large projects. This individual excels in the use of standard project development methodologies in the delivery of projects. This role will serve as a mentor and steward of standard project methodology practices within the IT organization.

The Senior IT Project Manager works closely with the business project managers, project owners and IT stakeholders to deliver projects on time, in budget and to specifications. The IT Project Manager has experience with projects across a broad range of application and technology service platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as IT Project Manager delivering agreed to business case outcomes for IT enabled projects
  • Defines and analyzes requirements; develops/maintains project plans and documentation; manages project budget, capital and expenses; manages quality through acceptance testing; and leads post project retrospectives.
  • Works in collaboration with business partners to design, develop and implement the required IT enablement to meet business requirements
  • Directs, organizes, and leads projects utilizing standard methodologies, including agile and waterfall stage gate
  • As a methodology champion, mentors and coaches IT employees in the use of standard project methodology practices and project management best practice
  • Coordinates IT and business resources to successfully execute projects
  • Provides updates and facilitates key decision making with executive stakeholders and the project steering committee
  • Manages IT resource plans for projects, including internal and external resources
  • Manages project timeline, dependencies, and resources in coordination with global IT teams and business teams
  • Develops project plans, execution plans, and cutover plans to ensure benefits are realized
  • Develops and monitors metrics and KPIs to track progress against targets
  • Manages project scope and change control processes
  • Manages and mitigates IT project issue and risks
  • Ensures the design and proactive monitoring of compliance and controls in IT solutions
  • Contributes to an environment of continuous improvement of IT processes
  • Travel: less than 10%
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, project management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Seven to ten years of project management experience. Minimum of eight years of information technology or related experience in various technical and analytical positions with increasing responsibility. Experience managing SAP/ERP, Manufacturing and/or IT services and infrastructure projects desired.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project; Visio and Smartsheets are a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications: PMP, Scrum or similar certification preferred.
