Cybersecurity Engineer Position Summary
Our CyberSecurity Engineer must be committed to protecting our organization against the latest cyber threats. The position responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Monitoring systems and networks for security breaches, suspicious activity and anomalous behavior
- Respond to security incidents and breaches
- Assist with the configuration of Windows, Linux and cloud-based systems to maximize security and reduce attack surfaces
- Assist with keeping servers and network devices updated with the latest patches and firmware
- Provide engineering design, analysis and support for routers, firewalls and networks.
- Provide solutions to improve the secure configuration and hardening of endpoint systems, perimeter networks and cloud technologies
- Will be responsible for creating and evaluating future tools to prevent breaches of our network.
This position can be 100% remote.
Cybersecurity Engineer Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, cybersecurity or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in a security engineering role may be used in lieu of formal education.
Experience
- 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, especially in a security engineering or system administration role desired, but not required
- Certified information systems security professional (CISSP)
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Cisco security products
Cybersecurity Engineer Benefits
- At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members wor (king at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
