Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to assist in project oversight, act as a liaison between the field and office, and collaborate with other departments and project team members. This role involves participating in preconstruction review, design-build activities, and managing customer, subcontractor, and vendor relations. You will be expected to present courtesy, integrity, and fairness, especially while managing customer demands. Additionally, you will promote a culture of Quality, Safety, and Performance (QSP) through practices, participation, image, and awareness.
Responsibilities
The position is based in Farmington, CT - all work in Medway, MA - headquarters, with working hours from 8 am to 5 pm. You will be provided with a laptop, cell phone, and your own desk. The role requires working in the office five days a week with occasional site visits to substation projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.00/hr.

Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to assist in project oversight, act as a liaison between the field and office, and collaborate with other departments and project team members. Responsibilities
- Assist the project manager in administering the project, monitoring reports, and maintaining logs and information.
- Control documents including the administration and tracking of procurement logs, submittals, purchase orders, correspondence, deliverables, etc.
- Administer and track receivables, billings, and commitments.
- Manage contract drawing revisions, specifications, RFIs, and change order logs to ensure clarity between the office, field, and client.
- Create comparisons of actual hourly and cost performance versus budgeted.
- Update and review project schedules.
- Track job progress and productivity against schedule.
- Monitor QA/QC for compliance with specifications.
- Implement and maintain project document control.
- Process and track project communications including emails, texts, letters of correspondence, documentation, and notifications.
- Maintain project files (both electronic and physical).
- Prepare meeting minutes, daily reports, correspondence, and material specifications.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver individual project closeout documentation packages.
- Analyze project technical and administrative information.
- Understand and monitor the scope of work, pricing details, plan, means and methods assumptions, and project risks.
- Identify, prevent, and solve problems as necessary, communicate with the project manager, support mitigation, and monitor results.
- Update the project manager regarding interpretation of information for use in pricing, budgeting, purchasing, scheduling, and project scope variation.
- 3-5 years of electrical construction experience.
- Experience with RFIs, Change Orders, and Submittals.
- Proficiency in project document control and billing management.
- Experience in substation construction management is preferred.
- Utility background is preferred.
