Position Summary

Under the COSMIAC COMPNT contract, candidate will lead the development and implementation of advanced network communicationsystems, focusing on enhancing data transmission between subsystems to improveoverall operational efficiency and reliability. His work will involveintegrating cutting-edge technologies and protocols to optimize networkperformance and address potential vulnerabilities, aligning with the project'sgoal of advancing communication capabilities in complex environments.

Conditions of Employment
  • Professional Engineer (PE) may be required, depending upon field of expertise.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a directly related field; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Electrical engineering or a closely related discipline, to be completed by the date of appointment.
  • Coursework and experience directly related to space systems' mechanical systems, mechanics, and development of satellites and satellite subsystems.
  • Existing TS/SCI security clearance, or ability to obtain security clearance within 1 year of employment.
  • Strong technical skills including experience with data networking tools and modeling physical and electrical systems, and researchdissemination mechanisms of federally funded research grants.
