Brown & Brown is seeking a Reinsurance Claims Manager A&H to join our growing team in Morristown, NJ!

The Reinsurance Claims Manager - A&H's primary function is to execute the day-to-day proactive management of all aspects of global A&H reinsurance claims, with moderate oversight from the Chief Claims Officer, US.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Input required data into the system to ensure accurate and up-to-date client accounts. This includes maintaining client information, policy details, and account activities for proper file management.


  • Review commercial applications, renewals, and endorsements for underwriting compliance. Verify that all documents meet the guidelines and approval authority set by the insurance carriers.


  • Prepare and process insurance binders, policies, endorsements, certificates, and cancellations. Ensure all documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with company standards and regulations.


  • Validate coverage details and ratings on policies, endorsements, audits, and cancellations. Check that the terms are correct and in line with the client's needs and the insurer's guidelines.


  • Maintain a tracking system for follow-ups on requests, correspondence, and tasks. This helps ensure that all communications and actions are addressed promptly, and no tasks are overlooked.


  • Process premium finance agreements and ensure clients are informed about payment plans. Facilitate the agreement process, ensuring it aligns with company policies and clients' payment preferences.


  • Generate and send timely billings and invoices to clients. Ensure that the invoices reflect the correct premiums, fees, and are issued promptly according to deadlines.


  • Notify accounting on the correct posting of payments for assigned accounts. Ensure that payments received are accurately recorded in the accounting system to maintain financial accuracy.


  • Assist in collecting premiums and handling audit adjustments from clients. Work with clients to resolve overdue premiums or audit-related issues, ensuring timely payments.


  • Provide backup support to other Account Managers and track policy expiration dates for renewals. Help ensure continuity of service during absences and monitor policies to prevent coverage lapses.


Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • 10+ years of demonstrated ability handling A&H and/or P&C reinsurance claims


  • In-depth understanding of coverage issues, policy forms, reinsurance contracts, and regulatory requirements for A&H reinsurance claims


  • Computer literacy with strong skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint


  • Strong interpersonal abilities


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to quickly understand the nature of claims notified and the factors impacting potential losses


  • Outstanding communications and presentation skills


  • Strong financial analysis skills and an investigative, detail-conscious mind set


  • A good team player, capable of operating effectively in a small team environment and with a work ethic and style that are consistent with the company's values


Pay Range
$125,000 - $150,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
