Expected salary range of $134,100 to $149,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

To ensure Constellation's climate-related disclosures are free from material misstatement, the GHG Reporting Manager will coordinate with key internal stakeholders to facilitate execution of the GHG Accounting Program each year in accordance with the Constellation management model and the GHG control environment. This role is also responsible for the management of key projects related to Constellation's climate strategy, including the development of calculation and mitigation strategies for Scope 3 GHG emissions

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversee external reporting of the annual Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG inventory in accordance with relevant standards and protocols (GHG Protocol, ISO 14064) and the Constellation management model, including leading development of the annual GHG Inventory Management Plan (IMP).
  • Manage the annual third-party verification of Constellation's Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG inventory, related climate metrics, and additional, material ESG metrics identified for verification in the future.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sr Sustainability Data Analyst to document the data collection and calculation methodologies for Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
  • Manage a Scope 3 materiality assessment to identify Scope 3 GHG emission sources for future reporting and coordinate with key internal and external stakeholders (suppliers and customers) to collect high quality Scope 3 GHG data for material sources and develop comprehensive calculation methodologies.
  • Manage the integration of GHG accounting data collection processes and program implementation for newly acquired assets and emission sources.
  • Lead engagement with business units and Finance organization on design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the GHG control environment sufficient to prevent material misstatement of GHGs.
  • Ensure readiness of Constellation's GHG Accounting Program to comply with emerging regulatory and financial reporting requirements for climate-related data by identifying gaps and recommending enhancements as needed.
  • Deliver quarterly GHG emissions results to leadership and business units for internal KPI tracking and facilitate access to GHG emissions, energy use, and other climate-related data and performance metrics for internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Manage development of Constellation's climate commitment roadmap by working cross-functionally within the organization to establish new targets as needed, identifying and assessing decarbonization strategies, and supporting business unit implementation.
  • Conduct research and develop compelling reports and presentations to communicate recommendations to leadership on climate and GHG emissions management as needed.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for providing climate-related data and development of narrative content for the annual sustainability report and in response to leading ESG rating agencies, Constellation's key customers, and investors to optimize ESG scores and achieve market recognition, including CDP.
  • Participate in ESG- and GHG-related meetings, conferences, and workshops to enhance professional knowledge and stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Support development of Constellation clean energy products, providing data and technical assistance in product development.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years' experience
  • Expertise in greenhouse gas emissions accounting and reporting standards (GHG Protocol), and experience conducting Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG inventories, including development of an Inventory Management Plan (IMP), including experience with various Scope 3 data types, calculation methods, and collection and use of supplier-specific data.
  • Demonstrated experience with GHG emissions reduction target setting, developing decarbonization strategies and executing emissions reduction initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage projects with demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines while maintaining focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to navigate a large corporation to manage projects, successfully build relationships, establish trust, and foster process changes within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with third-party validated GHG target setting methodologies, such as SBTi.
  • Experience presenting sophisticated concepts to stakeholders at varying levels of an organization.
  • Experience with management of GHG-related control environment and/or performance of controls in coordination with finance teams (audit, controllers, etc.).
  • Experience with ESG reporting platforms or tools such as Workiva/Wdesk or Persefoni.
  • Knowledge of electricity/power industry decarbonization strategies and clean energy markets.
  • Knowledge of climate-related risk and opportunities and associated reporting frameworks (TCFD, IFRS S2, etc.)
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite
