The AWS Global Sales Operations team drives business excellence by developing and supporting critical operating mechanisms that deliver results for both customers and colleagues. We are seeking a results-driven Sales Operations leader to enhance our business management systems and deliver strategic insights that inform executive decision-making
Key job responsibilities
As a Sales Operations Leader, you will be instrumental in driving AWS's business performance through the development and enhancement of our Business Management System. This role requires exceptional analytical capabilities to synthesize insights from large-scale data sets, strong project management skills to coordinate multiple stakeholders, and superior communication abilities to influence executive decision-making. You will own critical operational cadences and strategic reviews, turning complex business data into clear narratives that drive action. Success in this role demands both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with the ability to maintain high quality while working at pace in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive continuous improvement of AWS Global Sales operational and strategic inspection meetings, including pipeline reviews, forecasting reviews, and deal inspection mechanisms
- Lead requirements gathering, specification development, and implementation of business management system enhancements
- Synthesize complex data sets from multiple teams to surface key insights and trends for executive decision-making
- Own the development and delivery of weekly and bi-weekly business review narratives for VP and CEO-level audiences
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, making strategic trade-offs to balance insight quality with delivery speed
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for operational improvement based on data insights
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners and executive stakeholders
- Present analysis and recommendations to senior leadership, driving consensus on strategic initiatives

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- Ability to quickly turn ideas into written narratives and to clearly articulate plans and outcomes verbally and in writing, constructing cases which initiate change, understanding and projecting specific benefits to come from that change.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
- MBA or other advanced degree, experience in Finance or related fields.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
