Seattle Central College is looking to hire an Assistant Registrar in Enrollment Services.
Salary Range for this position is $68,435 to $94,504 annually (depending on experience)
Position open until filled, first review of materials will begin: April 25th, 2025.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Registrar, the Assistant Registrar will be responsible for the daily supervision of the Registration and Records. Works closely with the Student Services administrative management team.
This position directs the work of Classified, temporary, Student, and Work-study employees.
This position is typically scheduled for working Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM. The schedule may vary depending on program needs. May be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by AFT-SPS.

What you will be working on:
- Serve as an experienced resource for staff, students, cashiers, administrators, and faculty to resolve issues, and assist to interpret and apply institutional policies as they relate to the functions of the Registrar's Office.
- Provide support and guidance with IT collaboration in the implementation of emerging technologies with the student database system.
- Administer the correction of the registration reports and ensure they are submitted in a timely manner.
- Handle complaints, issues, requests for refunds, assist with processing appeals, requests for exception to institutional policies that pertain to the functions of Registration and Records.
- Serve as a Washington state residency compliance officer for SCC.
- Responsible for reviewing/updating the important information and deadline dates for registration on the web page.
- Review incoming communications from the SBCTC, disseminate information and implement the new procedures and policies.
- Ensures the security, integrity, and accuracy of student records and data in compliance with FERPA regulations, school policies, state and federal reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot registration discrepancies for students, staff, faculty, administration, and faculty, reconciling cashiering/registration errors.
- Train and supervise assigned staff, temporary staff, and work-study students.
- On behalf of the Registrar, assist with the student data system access for campus users and approve authorized users to ensure the confidentiality of data.
- Assist the Registrar and the Dean of Enrollment Services in facilitating the commencement exercise.
- Ensure student data is properly recorded and secure in ctcLink system

What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)
- Bachelor's degree OR 4 or more years of relevant experience.
- 3 years of increasingly responsible experience in a Registration and Records department.
- 3 or more years of experience in enrollment using a computerized management information system.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult people.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a multi-ethnic and culturally diverse population.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, paying attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and preparing data reports.
