Overview:

Sentara Obici Hospital, located in Suffolk, Virginia, is hiring a Nursing and Patient Care Services Supervisor.
  • Responsible and accountable for administratively managing the hospital as the representative for the administrator on call.
  • Possessing proficient clinical skills and serving as a resource to nursing staff, physicians, and the public.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and efficient patient placement.
  • Making administrative decisions (in consultation with the administrator on call, as needed) regarding potential or actual problematic situations involving the hospital.
  • May be responsible to coordinate patient care resources.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing and demonstrate the ability to resolve problems in an efficient and caring manner.
  • Must be able to exercise leadership skills through effective work coordination, management of resources, and participation in goal accomplishment.


Education
  • BSN


Certification/Licensure
  • Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing
  • ACLS and BLS required within 90 days of hire
  • De-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire


Experience
  • Two (2) years nursing and one (1) year of leadership


POSITION OVERVIEW
  • Full Time; 36 hours: Day Shift Friday, Saturday, Sunday. HOURS ARE FLEXIBLE! There may be times when night shift coverage is needed.
  • Hours will change depending on the assignment. This position alternates with a dual role: Patient Care Supervisor and Bed Flow Coordinator.
  • Bed Flow portion of this role is 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$69,058.08-$115,090.56. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
