The MEP Engineering Project Manager will oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong technical background in mechanical engineering and project management, with a focus on design and implementation of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage MEP projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Conduct mechanical design calculations, estimates, and develop comprehensive project plans.
- Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for the design and documentation of MEP systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Engage in business development activities, including cross-selling services and acquiring new business opportunities.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and best practices in engineering.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in MEP engineering & project management, with a primary focus on mechanical systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required, Master's degree preferred.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for MEP design.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and design principles.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Business development experience in the engineering sector is a plus.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience with plumbing and electrical systems is preferred.
- Ability to be on-site in Austin office at least 3 days a week.
