Job Description Summary
The Head of Technology - Advisory Occupier serves as a strategic technology leader, driving innovation and execution for advisory occupier initiatives. This role is responsible for leading a high-performing product management team, defining and executing a comprehensive technology strategy, and shaping the product roadmap to enhance the experience and capabilities of C&W's brokers and support teams.

As the primary business-technology liaison, this leader ensures alignment between technology solutions and business objectives, fostering collaboration across service lines, product teams, delivery and support functions, and client organizations. The role requires a deep understanding of go-to-market strategies, integration with enterprise platforms, and emerging technologies that can drive efficiencies and competitive advantage.

Success in this role demands exceptional stakeholder management, the ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions, and a strong grasp of data-driven decision-making, connectivity, and system integration best practices. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver, an advocate for digital transformation, and a champion of seamless occupier technology experiences within the broader C&W ecosystem.
Job Description

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Manager

  • Stakeholder Engagement - establish and nurture strong relationships with global business stakeholders, aligning product strategies with organizational goals and customer needs, and represent the company at industry events to foster strategic partnerships. Partner with key service line stakeholders to review and prioritize the backlog of new ideas and enhancements, and work with the Delivery Leader to validate needs and overall requirements for each idea.


  • Communication - Present technology and data opportunities to executive leadership in a clear and actionable manner. Ability to translate the requirements of brokers and clients into strategic plans


  • Solution Design - in conjunction with business line sponsors and brokers, design the overall solution considering data standards, standard deliverables, and reports. Validate and advise through architectural reviews, usability, and integration methodologies. Work with business teams and brokers to design and implement centralization efforts.


  • Backlog Management - own the backlog and usher each item through the review phases to validate business case, proof of concept (if necessary), funding, vendor contracting, standardization including staff plan, communication plan, requirements, vendor engagement, data modelling, acceptance, as well as transition to delivery, support, and operations.


  • Software Vendor Selection - responsible for owning the vendor selection process including buy / build / partner decisions. Responsible to have a strong understanding of the specific software marketplace, ability to provide a functional and technical comparative matrix, as well as manage the rating and assessment with key stakeholders. Partner with internal teams to usher software vendor through various stage gates including IT Compliance reviews, Product Review Board, procurement due-diligence and legal.


  • Funding - in conjunction with stakeholders, complete a one-page business plan and establish a detailed cost estimate and ROI model that includes hardware, software, and headcount requirements for all phases of acquisition, proof of concept, standardization, and delivery. Usher the business case through a formal Request for Authorization (RFA) and establish a purchase order for full funding.


  • Contracting / Legal / Commercial - organize and lead internal partners, executive sponsors, and the vendor through agreement on commercial terms & conditions. Assist and advise the executive sponsor through the negotiation process until final agreement is reached.


  • Product Roadmap - own the formal communications of the product roadmap considering various audiences (internal vs. external).


  • Business impact - Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the factors that generate value for Cushman & Wakefield, including product and service offerings, operating model, business processes, supporting information and technology, and opportunities to address unmet client needs


Existing Product Governance

  • Vendor / Partner Management - own the ongoing relationship with the vendor including organizing annual business reviews, Contract & Billing Management, Escalation Management, Application Performance Monitoring, Support SLA monitoring.


  • Marketing (internal & external) - serve as the evangelist for the Technology platform and seek to elevate messaging to internal partners and external clients. Coordinate with internal marketing teams to define required content and calendar.


  • Ideation / Thought Leadership - as a value-add partner to the business, lead all levels of teams in thought in an evolving portfolio of ideas and viable technology outcomes. This may include coaching, internal collaboration and business requirements definition.


Client Sales

  • Client Pitch - support but not own, client-based pursuits and advise on solutioning with respect to platform solution, integrations, and roadmap.


  • Client Consulting - support but not own, existing client solutioning with respect to transformation of service line or technology transformations.


  • Winning New Business - Work with business development teams to win new clients by responding to client bids, developing pricing models, pitching technology solutions, demoing products & prototypes


PRIMARY DUTIES

This position has matrixed responsibility through portfolio, projects and delivery teams, mentoring of developing BA and Delivery Manager resources.

Guidance will include weekly / bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with your direct supervisor, monthly team and quarterly meetings with Technology leadership, and Business leadership.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Previous Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Professional Industry Designation


  • 7+ years of relevant experience in product management experience


  • 5+ years of IT work experience


  • 5+ years of experience supporting application systems


  • 5+ years of experience support sales pitches


  • Or similar combination of education and experience


  • Tenant Representation Real Estate Experience a plus


Targeted Competencies

  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development


  • Proven experience in managing technology product preferably in Commercial Real Estate sector


  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and influence decision-making at senior levels.


  • Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize and adapt quickly to change in high pressure situations with minimal supervision required


  • Solid business judgment, collaboration, and critical thinking skills


  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Excellent interpersonal & presentation skills


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with technical and non-technical clients


  • Microsoft Office 365, including Project, Visio and SharePoint

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $165,750.00 - $195,000.00
