The Interiors team in the St. Louis Office is a seeking a candidate for a Senior Interior Designer position with 8-10 years' experience, (particularly in the healthcare and higher education markets) starting immediately. The team specializes in collaborating with clients to develop innovative, evidence-based environments to inspire and meet our clients' needs. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the design team to develop innovative and appropriate design solutions on healthcare and higher education projects, creating overall design concepts from inception to completion, including research, development of project presentations for client and business development opportunities, providing finish material selection/specifications, construction documents thru construction administration. Provide mentorship and creative direction to the design team. Having multiple roles contributing as a member of a larger design team and at other times, acting as the primary design interface with clients and consultants.. Additional required skills are Collaboration with team members and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach, advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, Revit360, and Enscape are necessary. Most project work is very technical, and detail oriented in nature. Must work around multiple deadlines with quick turnaround times. Open to potential travel depending on team or client's needs.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in interior design or interior architecture from accredited institution
- 8-10 years professional experience in a commercial design firm using Revit/BIM 360
- Excellent design, organizational, and communication skills.
- Be design oriented, with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and provide clear, organized directions to project staff
- Knowledge of construction, interior materials, details, methods, and standard building codes.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Microsoft (Office, Outlook, Excel, Word) and the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) is a minimum requirement; the firm has implemented Revit on new projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with a strong work ethic, with the ability to juggle multiple projects deadlines.
- CIDQ preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage experience level appropriate projects from Concept Project Completion
- Design concepts, finish selections, renderings/fly-through, interior elevations, documentation (specifications, interiors sheets including construction detailing)
- Healthcare and Higher Ed Project experience (in a commercial design/architecture firm)
- Client interaction/communication balanced with production mindset.
- Basic/entry level Project Management skills including project schedules, project budget, workload schedules, staff mentorship and oversite.
- Business Development experience not required but preferred.
